Best Selling Author, Linsey Mills, is a business and financial professional, with more than 30 years experience. He has worked with clients to increase their business knowledge and improve results in the areas of short and long term financial goals. Linsey has created innovative programs including, Colors of Philanthropy, and TRADER$: Stock Market Experience, to teach complex concepts in an interactive and fun experiential learning environment.
Linsey is a former recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year award for his success in business. In 2019, Linsey and his wife, Michelle Serrano, were awarded the Linetta Gilbert Service Award, the highest honor of the Community Investment Network, for their commitment and service in the field of philanthropy. Linsey is the recent author of Your Business Venture: The Prep. The Pitch. The Funding and co-author with his sister, Andrea Stephenson, of Teach Your Child About Money Through Play: 110+ Games/Activities, Tips, and Resources to Teach Kids Financial Literacy at an Early Age.
In both his personal and professional lives, Linsey encourages people to create a robustly engaging life with Simply Outrageous adventures. Linsey inspires people to find work they love to do through their careers and philanthropy and to plan strategically and purposefully for life’s celebrations and challenges.
Linsey serves on the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro Professional Advisors board, and is Vice-Chair of the Davidson Arts and Creative Engagement advisory board.

Michelle Serrano
Managing Consultant
Michelle Serrano, is a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, educator, and writer. At the age of 12, she became an educational consultant for family and neighbors earning $20 per week for providing services. As a college student, she received a Pew Charitable Trust grant and joined another student to create a summer enrichment program, Our-Story 101, focusing on providing educational experiences for elementary aged children. She also co- founded PositiviTees, a business created to promote positive messages through wearable products.
Michelle’s professional career spans different sectors in the corporate, government, and non-profit industries. These experiences have provided Michelle an extensive knowledge base that allows her to be an opportunity focused and solutions driven consultant for her clients, educator for her students, and advocate for her community. Her professional roles include: educator, operations manager, program coordinator, consultant (small business, city and county government), business owner, non-profit executive director, corporate trainer, and business coach. An accomplished trainer, Michelle has taught thousands of budding entrepreneurs and students her lessons about entrepreneurship and personal development.
Along with Linsey Mills, her business partner of 33 years and husband of 28 years, Michelle is also a co-author of the self-published book Simply Outrageous: Lessons Learned on the Road of Entrepreneur of the Year.
Michelle is a founding member of the Next Generation of African American Philanthropists Giving Circle in the Triangle, NC and a founding supporter of Circle de Luz in Charlotte, NC. Both are collective giving models that successfully connected individual networks to create strategic and intentional giving through treasure, time, talent, and testimony.
Michelle is a Davidson College class of 1990 alumna with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion.
